Mountain Bikes Through The Years

Mountain biking has always been about the passion to overcome every obstacle nature has provided. To be able to surpass the obstacles in mountain biking, the biker must choose bikes that can be durable in any condition and terrain.

The Bicycle for off-road rides must have strong and durable frames, flexible tires and light weight. This helps withstand the long rides and the unpaved environment ahead. In order to withstand the hindrance of environmental factors, modern bicycle designs have been develop with the right bicycle geometry specifically the head angle as the important part.

Their Company, Specialized paved the road for the mountain bike. In 1981, they designed the Stumpjumper which could resist the off road terrains. It is the first mountain bike to be mass produced in history.

His company was able to innovate the bicycle further into a mountain bike. They had the ENduro, Works, and Stumpjumper among others.

The Specialized mountain bike founder's mission still hold true today. Indeed, Specialized mountain bikes have been making great history giving everyone a taste of heavenly biking bliss.

Definitely something to look out for, Specialized mountain bikes have new member which will be introduced in 2010. The focus is on the improvement of the suspension forks with high end brain suspension technology for both Stuntjumpers and Enduro SL. Numerous woman's bike will also be introduced.
